Howdy! Welcome to my blog! I’m Bri, a new mom and beginner sewist, living and stitching in small town Nederland.

I hail from the glorious Pacific Northwest, but I moved to Holland when I got pregnant last year. My husband Paul and I have a joyous baby girl named Ember. I started this blog as a way to stay connected to friends and family in America, and to better contribute to the sewing community.

I got into sewing through theatre. After building and managing wardrobe for a few shows, I took a costume construction course as a last requirement for my theatre degree. I bought my first machine before even completing the class! Since then sewing has become an integral part of my life. Sewing has helped me be kinder to my dysfunctional body, and it makes me feel like I’m moving forward when my neurological disorder feels debilitating. I am passionate about learning and growing whilst creating a unique, vintage inspired wardrobe full of garments that are comfortable and exciting to wear.
